Today I was at Raquel’s store.  It was an uneventful day.  I was getting ready to leave and waiting for Anna to arrive.  As I sat at the laptop I heard a light pop sound.  I figured it was a kid walking by who threw a pebble at the front window.  Next a bunch of cars drove by fast and I heard another pop noise.  I figured it was the cars kicking up dust.  Oh how wrong I was.  I then heard a weird sizzling sound. 

Yup.  The store front was on fire!  I walked up to the front and saw fire dripping out of an electrical outlet from the ceiling.  The fire was dripping embers onto a large prom dress.  So the dress was just starting to catch fire, as was the rug.  I then grabbed a toss pillow and thought I was gonna be old school and try to pounce it out with the pillow.  I looked at the pillow, now it’s on fire.  I remembered moving the large fire extingusher from the back room just this morning.  I sprinted to the backroom, grabbed the extinguisher, by the time I returned the dress was fully engulfed!  I screamed OMG!  I remembered that I didn’t listen to Mike when he showed me how to use the thing.  Then I pointed and squeezed and put out the fire.  I called 911 and 3 trucks arrived really fast!  Yup, it was an interesting day, and yes.  I’m a hero!
